Coach Litton

Bio

H.N.”Moe” Litton was a lifelong, dedicated teacher, coach and athletic trainer. His devotion to
his students, players and community, made a positive impact on the many lives he touched.
Moe, as he was known by most, grew up in Gladewater, Texas. As one of the greatest of the
“Greatest Generation,” at the age of 17 he joined the Navy and fought in World War II. After the
War, he completed his education earning a Master’s Degree from Stephen F. Austin University.
From there, he spent his professional life teaching Biology, coaching high school sports and was
one of the first certified High School Athletic Trainers in Texas and the first certified Athletic
Trainer in South East Texas. Never losing sight of his own educational opportunities, he
inspired and encouraged his students to pursue their own higher education.

After his retirement from Bridge City High School in 1988, he went on to serve on the Bridge
City ISD School Board, City Council and served as Municipal Judge for the City of Bridge City
and worked as Consulting Athletic Trainer for many high schools in the South East Texas area.
